If you put in the work, the work will show. Understand what true health is and the underlying reason training is important.

The importance of a healthy body over aesthetics.

Yes, it is great to look good but if our body is suffering because of the relentless nature to reach a certain aesthetic we have lost site of the goal of health. Or, if we are not working the body at all and are rarely moving the body will eventually give up on us. The most important part of exercise is to aid the body in complete wellness both internally and externally. We must know when to go harder but also when to rest and restore. This ebb and flow keeps all of our internal systems working appropriately. Too much of a good thing can throw the body out of balance. When the mind is so wrapped up in the outer appearance it cannot see anything other than the physical but when we train for both mental and physical wellbeing, better alignment starts to occur. Honestly, the “looking good” part should just be the bonus of putting in the effort towards better health. If we are fully embracing internal health, that clean inside will show up on the outside. If we are making gains and doing all this work but still feeding the body like a garbage disposal eventually this will catch up and cause disturbances to the whole. Focus on the totality of your health and see how incredible you will feel. Clean eating, commitment and discipline to training, calming of the mind and balancing stress, sleeping well, and having a well-balanced daily routine are all a part of overall health.

You have to start somewhere, why not start with working towards being healthy… mentality needs to be there (introspection, journaling, therapy work to rid of old wounds), work the body and feed it the fuel it needs (walking, yoga, strength training, or other forms of exercise) (eat from the earth), come in alignment with the soul purpose (meditation, spiritual work)

If you put in the work, the work will show.
